Two friends from London have created Moment Pebble—an affordable, portable device that makes mindfulness accessible without the need to use the technologies that can sometimes be the root cause to our anxieties and mental health problems.
Alex and Charlie met while working at a fast-paced digital agency in the early 2010s. They bonded over their shared appreciation of mindfulness and meditation and the way that both activities opened space for innovation and motivation while giving their minds a break. They also shared regret for not being able to practice as much as they would like to due to their busy lives.
“After reaching burnout 6 years ago, it became my mission to help people take short mind-breaks to keep their minds healthy,” says co-founder Alex.
Alex experienced firsthand the cost of not taking a moment for himself. He began to look into the psychology behind the dreaded burnout to understand the psychology behind it to try and help others take preventative steps.
Moment pebble is a simple mindfulness aid and a reminder to hit pause—all in one cleverly designed, illuminating pebble.

The beautifully designed pebble that fits comfortably into the palm of the hand slowly illuminates with a calming purple light for 30-second windows. It encourages the user to breathe mindfully, acting as a tangible touchstone reminding users to take a valuable moment to give their brains a break.
The founders of the stress-reducing stone launched a Kickstarter campaign in April 2019 and so far have 1,129 backers who have pledged £58,975.
The moment pebble will retail at £60 and is now available for pre-order.
